  I will say that Patti Sprang is a wonderful nurse practitioner, and I would recommend her for anyone. The nurses, medical assistants, ultrasound technicians, and lab technician were awesome as well. They were amazing patient advocates and always took time to answer any questions or find someone that could. However, I would not recommend this office for pregnancy. The doctors here are insensitive and inattentive. If they ask how you’re feeling, and you answer honestly, you’ll get a “that’s the way it is” or “you’ll just have to learn to deal with that.” I understand it’s old hat for them, but as a first time mom, it was new to me, and I didn’t know what was normal and what wasn’t. Giving me ideas for some relief or even a little empathy would have been nice. They also had a habit of asking if I had any questions as they were literally walking out the door. I usually had time for one question and a hurried answer that wasn’t very helpful. Dr. Zarcynski actually walked out the door as he was answering a question and never came back. I had to go walk through the clinic and find a nurse to see if I could leave. There was also an incident where he left me hooked up to a monitor for a non-stress test for nearly 2 hours. He came in the room to unhook me and ran right back out without so much as 2 words because “he suddenly got called to the hospital.” I’m sorry, but if I’ve been there for 2 hours before you even came in the room, you can’t claim sudden emergency. There were several other incidents of miscommunication, limited attention to detail, disagreement between physicians, passing off responsibility, exhausting rounds of phone tag, and outright disregard for my needs and opinions regarding MY care and MY child. Also, don’t expect a call back from the billing office or the hotline number they give you for questions after hours whether you leave a message or not. The billing office even ignored calls from my insurance company. I’m not sure why they even have a voicemail. The nurse hotline never answers when you call them, either, but they’ll eventually get back to you. My daughter was brought safely into the world, and for that I’m grateful, but there is definitely room for improvement at this office.
